What’s new for 2017

Anjan, Anjan GT and Rogen redesign

We have simplified the pole system on all three of these models, making the tents quicker to pitch. At the same time, we have retained the built-in venting that comes from having the outer tent stop short of the ground.

The Anjan, Anjan GT, and Rogen models were designed specifically as very light tents that can handle all types of weather in warmer, snow-free conditions. The single vestibule Anjan models are well-suited to mobile adventures where a high space to weight ratio is important, and the Rogen is a remarkably lightweight, all-around, two entrance, two vestibule tent. For 2017, we have redesigned all of these models, replacing the dual opening pole sleeves and Lock-Tip poles with single opening sleeves and standard poles for quicker pitching. In the Rogen, we have added water resistant Aquaguard zippers on the vestibules. We have also incorporated catenary patterning into the bottom of the outer tent walls to allow full-time air flow. In addition to its venting effect, in all these models, the new design is easier to pitch, especially in windy conditions.

All three offer full weather protection in all three-season conditions, as well as plenty ventilation for warmer days and nights. In addition, all three offer extra venting options. In both the Anjan and Anjan GT, you can fully roll back the rear wall of the outer tent, exposing the large triangular mesh vent on the inner tent, and you can completely roll away the Anjan’s vestibule. On the Rogen, both vestibules can be either fully or partially rolled away.

All three are excellent choices for 3 season backpacking trips and summer bicycle or paddling tours. And with all of them, warm weather comfort seekers can “size up” and still keep the weight very low: the Rogen and the Anjan 2 both make a deluxe solo tent, and the Anjan 3 is lightweight luxury for two. Even the Anjan 2 GT and Anjan 3 are surprisingly light – yet huge – solo shelter options for those who hold spaciousness in the highest regard!
